Dawn Tyus, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia and a National Board Certified Counselor. She is the Project Director of the Southeast Addiction Technology Transfer Center (SATTC) at Morehouse School of Medicine, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Dawn has been affiliated with Morehouse School of Medicine and SATTC for ten years, starting as a Project Consultant, and promoted to lead the team as the Project Director in 2009.

Dawn has an impressive background in which she brings a wealth of experience from various perspectives. Her background spans many disciplines which include: nonprofit organizations, government, corporate,  mental health counseling services, consulting, strategic planning, group and individual coaching. She was certified as a Personal and Executive Coach through the CaPP Institute, received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and a Masters of Education degree in Community Counseling from Mercer University, and she is currently writing her dissertation to obtain her Ph. D from Capella University. Dawn has years of experience motivating people to move beyond their comfort zone, into living out their dreams, through the facilitation of counseling, training, and motivational speaking engagements. Dawn has been a mentor to the young and old, and held various jobs in the public and private governmental sectors.”
